Gained and Lost in 2009

I would say in 2009 I have failed more than I gained, failed to achieve my resolution in the past but I promised myself that in this chapter of my life, I will not repeat the same mistakes as time are too short for mistakes once made although some would say mistakes are inevitable.

- step into the year of freedom
- start new in Setapak Gospel Center
- new room mate
- had an unexpected experience in internship
- met loads of new friends
- first time experience stay in Prince Court hospital
- first time experience to ride on an ambulance with siren on for more than 10 times
- first time experience stay in Crowne Plaza a week for free
- finally visited AQUARIA
- noticed that I am addicted to shopping
- noticed that I love earrings
- failed to become a good Leader
- lost some friends
- dissapoint friends
- not consistent in attending classes
- not efficient as the year before
- learn that swimming can release my stress
- learn that my instict is always wrong
- learn that I am leaving college and will miss collecg life like mad
- learn that I can turn to God whenever and whatever I did
- I have lost the passion for Advertising
- learn to be humble all the time
- slack in writing journals
- waste a lot of time
- quit the business
- quality time with Soong Sern family members
- habit to pray together with Soong Sern
- lost the passion in captain ball

For the past one year I would say 2009 is very much of identifying my flaws and a year of learning. As the year of 2010 have just arrived, I hope this year will be a year of break free my bad habits and a time to gain what I have lost. It's a year to stretch myself in terms of physically, mentally and most importantly spiritually.

We chose soft turquoise and brown as our color pallete for the Web Design. And we decided to choose the first design. =)

On The Way

*my favourite pick* isn't he cute?

Your wife is working late, so you’re taking care of the kids.
Then your best friend called, telling you your snobbish
neighbour is asking for a re-match. Do you miss the
chance of winning or bring the kids with you?

Fret not! We understand you can’t always be there for your
child, so let us help. We provide excellent child care services,
so you can have peace of mind when you leave home.

Having us stepping in for you is just a click away.
Visit www.babiesandsitters.com for more information.

*my second favourite pick*

You spend hours preparing. Finally, you’re dressed to the
nines. As you kiss your baby goodbye, you realised your
husband has left for a work emergency. Do you miss your
girls’ night out or bring the baby with you?

Fret not! We understand you can’t always be there for your
child, so let us help. We provide excellent child care services, so
you can have peace of mind when you leave home.

Artwork in progress for our Web Design pair work. So far this is what we came out with. What do you think? As we are in the dilemma to choose one or two for our final pick!

Weekend @ Pop Chic Street Market-Zouk

It was an exciting weekend to be able to spend half a day @ Pop Chic Street Market since I missed it the first time!
the Hot MAMA's is on their feet to rock the market!
Blue tag was found @ Pop Chic Street Market. We were lucky to get those freebies! Just gotten to upload the Blue tag free ticket for YOUREKA Finale party by Yahoo and two tickets to 2012 (Sern has been anticipating for this show and I am not, oh well I guess I have to since it's Free), and more of YOUREKA invitation cards!

It was an awesome experience to be able to see tons of spanking new goodies and new arrivals by these artistic people. The stuff there were miraculously special especially accessories and I wouldn't want to miss it the next time they're having it!

And we rocked off with bags of new stuff by walking to the car under the rain...

...In everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving...

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express" (Romans 8:26).

Don't Ask Me Why

People always mention this phrase "Friends come and go" but let me tell you what is my phrase deep within my heart "Friends come and stay".

I just have the urge to post about my heart felt in class. How I see friends come and go all the time except for one. I truly treasure friendship like how I treasure my live. Friends are the one who actually keeps me moving in my daily routine. That is why we tend to follow our friends footsteps, if she go I will go but if she don't I will think twice. You see how much friends can actually influence our decision in life?

I have this group of friends and I would say I am proud to have them once having the intimacy to one extend but the heart aching is that it never lasted. After two weeks of semester break, it's like this huge gap that is within us that labels us as 'strangers'. I hope this won't remain as it is but a step of transformation where I can draw myself one step closer to them.

If you are reading this,
I hope not to walk in front of you and you follow,
I hope not to walk behind you and I follow,
But I hope to walk next to you and be your friend, just a friend.

That's the Beauty of It

Week before I have this urge to get a book from the nearest bookstore which is Kinokuniya. And today without any hesitation right after completing my work in MIM-INTI institute while waiting for Sern, we both embarked straight to Kino and head towards the religion section. I felt like I just need to grab a book to read and have a feeling that God wants to speaks to me from one of the famous author.

So I did, I bumped into the book entitled Cast of Characters- Common People in the Hands of an Uncommon God by an inspiring author Max Lucado. The first chapter is about Joseph an ordinary carpenter who obeyed God when the angel called. He obeyed when Mary explained. He obeyed when God sent. He was obedient when the sky was bright. He was obedient when the sky was dark. He didnt let his confusion disrupt his obedience. He didnt know about everything but he did what he knew. He has the confident to shut down his business and gave up everything and left to another country. Why? Because that is what God said.

But what about me? As I was thinking does Joseph ever ask a single question regarding what he commanded him to? If one day God command me to speaks to a stranger about Christ will I do so without second thought?

I still remember the most significant incident in my life when God ask for my brother to be home together with Him. By then I was only 13 years old and I never ask a doubful question because my faith was so strong that I believe he will provides and he has a reason behind it. And I go around telling friends and family how much God can speaks to me through his departure to Heaven. But again if now God would have to take away someone I love so dearly, I will began to questions and probably I will never share. But I am very curious how God can actually use me to do something big for Him.

There are many questions about the Bible that you and I won;t be able to answer until we get home like Joseph. Many knotholes and snapshots. Many times I will muse and I will start to wonder. I love to do a lot of wonderings and I enjoy doing so....
Again in that chapter it says "..in our wonderings, there are some questions we never need to ask. Does God cares? Do we matter to God? Does he still love his children?"

Through the small face of the stable-born baby, he says YES
Yes, my sins are forgiven.
Yes, my name is written in heaven.
Yes, death had been defeated.
And yes, God has entered my world.
Immanuel. God is with me.
